If someone looks underage, end the chat and report it
If you think the person on the other side might be under 18, leave the chat immediately and report the account. You do not need to be sure, and you should not try to become sure. The doubt is the whole trigger. This is an adults-only site, everyone here has to be 18 or over, and leaving early is never the wrong call.
What should I do the moment I think someone is underage?
End the chat first, then report. In that order. Skipping takes one tap and it removes the only thing that matters at that moment, which is a minor on camera with an adult. Do not say goodbye, do not explain why you are leaving, and do not ask them to confirm anything. Once you are out, report the account; checking who is behind it is not something you can do from inside a chat window. Block them as well if you would rather never be matched with them again; block and report are separate actions and using both is fine. The whole sequence takes well under a minute.
How do I report someone here?
Open the other person's profile and choose Report there — it opens a separate report form. Block is its own action on that same profile if you want that as well. The form asks you to pick a reason from the list and gives you a box for details, so write plainly what you saw and roughly when it happened. Submit it and it goes into review. If you cannot reach their profile, email [email protected] with the time and whatever you remember instead — that route works too. The rest of the controls you have are listed on our safety page.
Should I try to work out how old they really are?
No. This page is not going to teach you to guess an age off a webcam, because a list of tells is exactly as useful to somebody hunting for minors as it is to somebody avoiding them — and it does not work anyway. Teenagers can look like adults and adults can look like teenagers. Do not ask their age, do not ask for a document, do not run a quiz to settle your own doubt, and do not stay in the room a few more minutes to see. You do not have to settle the question — you have to leave. If the thought crossed your mind at all, leave and report, and let the account be checked by people with something more than a camera feed to go on.
What if I am wrong and they were an adult?
Nothing of consequence happens to you. An adult had a chat end early and a report that review will close, and that is the whole cost. Set it against the other mistake — staying in a video call with a child because you did not want to seem rude — and there is nothing to weigh. Reporting something you honestly believed is not held against you; deliberately false reports are a different matter and this is not that. If you feel awkward about the possibility of being wrong, that instinct is the one to override here. Leave, report, and let the checking happen on the side that can do it properly.
Should I screenshot them first as proof?
No. Do not screenshot, photograph or record anyone you believe is a minor — not to prove your case, not to attach to a report, not for any reason. Creating or keeping that image is a serious offence in many countries no matter why you did it, and it can put you on the wrong side of the thing you were trying to stop. The report form does allow attachments; this is the one situation where you leave that part empty. A written description does the job. Say what you saw, when it happened and which account it was, and let review pull what it needs from its own records.
What if I think a child is actually in danger?
Report the account here first, because that is the fastest route to getting it looked at. Then, if what you saw suggested a child was being coerced, exploited or directed by an adult, take it to your local police or the child protection reporting line in your country. Those are the people with the power to act on it, and they would far rather hear about something that turns out to be nothing than miss something that was not. You do not need proof or a theory to make that call; describing what you saw is the entire job. Do not go back into the chat to check on them, and do not try to handle it yourself.
What if you are the one who is under 18?
Then this is not a site you can use, and that is not a formality. The age gate at the door is a real condition, and accounts found to belong to minors are removed. If you are under 18, close the tab. If somebody here has already contacted you, asked you for pictures, or pushed you to carry on somewhere else, tell an adult you trust and report it to the police or your country's child protection line. That is not you getting into trouble — it is the person who did it being stopped.
